This book contains one hundred narrations based on the chains of transmission that are accepted by the General Population, about the merits of the commander of the Believers, Ali b. Abī Ṭālib, and his sons, the Imams. This book specifically has had a great impact in the Muslim world because the author has carefully selected the sources from Sunni books, thereby eliminating any question of impartiality. Those who study the history of Islam find that occasionally, paid writers try to create doubt in the peoples’ hearts with their poisonous books. It is our scholars who fight them with precious and authentic publications, such as this one, which is void of any personal opinion. There are two editions of this book. The first is in the library of Āyatullāh Sayyid Muṣṭafā Al-Khūnsārī, and the second one is in the library of Āyatullāh Al-Mar'ashī Al-Najafī.
This book examines the role of Shia Islam in the world today. It covers several regions and nearly two dozen countries from both a contemporary and historical perspective. It deals with various divisions of Shia Islam, but concentrates on the majority sect of Twelver Islam. Through this narrative, Global Shia examines the critical role played by groups such as the Khojas and Lebanese immigrants as well as post-revolutionary Iran in global Islam. Global Shia concludes with an analysis of the present global status of Shia.
This report, the first of its kind yet to be published, provides a detailed and impartial account of how the individual's right to hold beliefs is understood, protected or denied throughout the world. Consisting of accessible, short edited entries based on drafts commissioned from experts living in the countries surveyed, it exposes persecution and discrimination in virtually all world regions. The book: * provides an analysis of United Nations standards of freedom of religion and belief * covers over fifty countries, divided into regions and introduced by a regional overview * covers themes including: the relationships between belief groups and the state; freedom to manifest belief in law and practice; religion and schools; religious minorities; new religious movements; the impact of beliefs on the status of women; and the extent to which conscientious objection to military service is recognised by governments * draws on examples of accommodation and co-operation between different religions and beliefs and identifies the main challenges to be overcome if the diversity of human conviction is to be established.
Maximilian and his friends are living a double life, posing as royal counsellors for the despotic, pagan governor of Roman Philadelphia (present-day Jordan) while secretly spreading the outlawed religion of Jesus of Nazareth. As their brethren fall victim to torture and murder, their situation becomes more and more dire until they take a daring step that sends shockwaves throughout the whole Roman Empire. Although they are forced to flee, nonetheless, their story lives on as generation after generation carry on their epic battle and an unimaginable miracle changes their world forever. "The Idols Will Fall" is a unique presentation of the miraculous story of these young men referred to both in Christian historical literature and in the Qur'an. This is the story of the Sleepers of the Cave.
This book addresses the difficult problem of defeating Islamic terrorism from a surprising and very effective vantage point. There are 59 million Muslims in Central Asia. They have experienced the threat of Wahhabi terrorism and have been able to contain it at the same time. The author calls on the U.S. Government to ally itself with this part of the world. The people there, being Muslim, understand Islam from the inside and would be happy to help us in this global effort if their traditions and independence were respected. The author calls on the U.S. Government and its allies to both diplomatically and compassionately focus on this part of the world.
Note from the Author about the Book: In the Name of Allāh, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Praise is due to Allāh who is worthy of praise and has authority over it. He guides the people toward it (praising Him) and rewards them and compensates them for it – an increasing praise which does not vanish nor end. His might is exalted and His sovereignty is great. He is exalted, His names are sacred, and His blessings are continuous. Everything is humiliated in His Awe and is humble before His Ruling and Divinity. One cannot describe His characteristics and the imagination cannot fathom knowing Him. He is as He has described Himself: the God, the One, the Only, the Eternal, He is not begotten nor...
