God Is Always In My Shadow

This book is written for one purpose. That purpose is to tell people what to do to get out of their situations. Life is all about making decisions. This book is entitled God Is Always in My Shadow because God is always with me. Sometimes your shadow is in front of you, sometimes it is beside you, and at other times, it is behind you. Most of the time, God is in front of me, leading me where to go and what to do. But the last few years he has had to walk beside me a lot to hold my hand, to be my friend, and to carry me when I didn't have the strength. The rest of the time, he has been behind me to give me that shove to go in the direction that he would have me go. Thank you, God, for always being in my shadow and allowing me to share these experiences of my life with others. I pray there are some answers in this book to lead and guide you.

From My Heart to Yours

As I awoke from a dream in the early morning hours, with tears streaming down my face, my heart was so burdened for others. While inquiring to God what this was all about, he said, "People need you to tell them what to do to get out of their situations." Being more confused than ever, God took my mind back to some thoughts, a few years prior, about him wanting me to write a book. A book to help guide and encourage people who are going through different kinds of sicknesses and addictions, as well as to the caregivers who are helping take care of their loved ones. This book is titled From My Heart to Yours: An Inspiring Book of Poetry, because it's filled with one hundred passages that God has...

Presented in chronological order, this book provides essential details about the 1,152 men and women who were legally put to death in North and South Carolina during the century after the Civil War. Each entry contains information about the criminals themselves and the deeds which cost them their lives. Based almost entirely on original archival materials such as court records, contemporary newspapers, prisoner files, appellate reports, gubernatorial correspondence, etc., a newer picture of the historical record emerges that students of Southern justice will find both revealing and disconcerting.

Yours to Command

Captain Bill McDonald's (1852-1918) admirers rank him as one of the great captains of Texas Ranger history. His detractors see him as an irresponsible lawman who precipitated violence, hungered for publicity, and related tall tales that cast himself in the hero's role. This title seeks to find the true Bill McDonald and sort fact from myth.

A groundbreaking look at marriage, one of the most basic and universal of all human institutions, which reveals the emotional, physical, economic, and sexual benefits that marriage brings to individuals and society as a whole. The Case for Marriage is a critically important intervention in the national debate about the future of family. Based on the authoritative research of family sociologist Linda J. Waite, journalist Maggie Gallagher, and a number of other scholars, this book’s findings dramatically contradict the anti-marriage myths that have become the common sense of most Americans. Today a broad consensus holds that marriage is a bad deal for women, that divorce is better for childr...
