Comprises 7 autograph letters from Sir Daniel Cooper to Jabez Hogg, dated 15 November 1861-29 August 1877 (with transcripts), and 1 printed portrait of Sir Daniel Cooper as vice-president of the London Commission for the Sydney Exhibition of 1879. The bound volume also contains a typescript biography of Cooper which is similar to that found in the Dictionary of National Biography.
