Twenty-seven of the twenty-nine chapters of THE EAGLE IN ITS FLIGHT -BEING THE MEMOIR OF THE HON SIR UDO UDOMA, CFR, as well as theappendices, were written by him and are reproduced in his own words. Hisflight began during cultural festivities, continued with his education and affiliationwith Methodism, and had him soaring with keen vision through a sterlinglaw practice, political and civil rights struggles, pioneering and mentoring projects, and national duty. Several years elapsed between the time he put the last dot onthis book's manuscript and the time he was called up to glory by his maker. Hiseldest son, Ayanti Udo Udoma, has tried to fill in those years, more poignantlyin his own words, by narrating in the remaining two chapters his interactionwith his father during that time.

The Late Sir Udo Udoma left behind a legacy of literary works in addition to his record of diverse and numerous achievements.

In THE GO-STOP-GO NIGERIAN REPUBLIC - VOLUME II, the author remonstrates on the adverse effect of military rule in Nigeria and how all Nigerian constitutions have all borne British or military agenda. General Murtala Mohammed tried to effect a home-grown 1978 Constitution but General Olusegun Obasanjo secretly altered its clauses, which had already become law, and promoted it as the 1979 Constitution. In 1999, General Obasanjo colluded with General Abdulsalami Abubakar to impose on Nigeria the illegitimate 1999 Constitut-ion that bestows immunity and lavish rewards to military heads and that has now been further bastardised by the National Assembly with Goodluck Jonathan's (Obasanjo's protégé's) acquiescence. Ayanti also shows how the trend can be reversed by legitimately abrogating that constitution by judicial fiat and then enacting and promulgating an auth-ochthonous one for the first time ever, under civil rule.
