Sutton
Sutton was born among fertile hilltops and well-watered valleys of the Nipmuc country, where, in the early 1700s, a group of London proprietors established a new foothold in America. In the wake of Indian wars, English farmers built a town on their guns, plows, and Congregational sensibilities, a place echoed today through the images in Sutton. No Massachusetts town sent more of its native sons to fight for independence, and Sutton secured that liberty through hard work. French Canadian workers built the mill villages of Manchaug and Wilkinsonville and turned out cloth, hats, and shuttles. Sutton raised prize-winning cattle and grew the Sutton Beauty apple. As the twentieth century brought growth, Sutton blended highways and subdivisions with eighteenth-century homes, farms, and a working blacksmith shop.

Grammar Competition in Second Language Acquisition
Anybody with the chance of teaching English to Indonesian speakers should have experienced difficulties when it comes to non-verbal predicates and the placement of be. This volume looks at this matter from a grammar competition perspective. An experiment conducted in Bandar Lampung with Indonesian learners of English identified specific error patterns. These patterns result from grammar competition between the L1 Indonesian and the L2 English. This work mainly deals with the influence of adverbs such as still or already, and the category of the non-verbal predicate (adjectival, nominal, preposition phrase). Although the main focus of this work is in the field of language acquisition, this volume also provides a detailed contrast between English and Indonesian non-verbal predicates and the contrast of the English copula be and the Indonesian copulas ada and adalah. The lingusitic description is done in a generative DM-based approach. Thus, this volume does not only provide new insights in the field language acquisiton, but also in the generative description of Indonesian in general and non-verbal predicates in particular.
Mind Shadows
Mind Shadows is the story of Willis Taylor, an American air ace, who is shot down over Holland. He lost all memory of his past life when he struck his head on a tree limb. He was rescued and hidden from the Germans by the Dutch underground. He assumed the name and identification of Hans DeBrinker. Many years later a friend from his air combat days accidentally found Willis is alive and is living in Holland. Lee and his wife Betty visit Amsterdam to confront Willis. He did not recognize them but a new friendship is forged. Lee becomes Willis' secret conduit of information about the Taylor family in Florida. The story follows Willis as he searches for his past life and builds a new life in Holland. When the two eventually collide there are some highly stressful and emotional events. On one occasion a disguised Willis and his American family are together in a hospital waiting room. He is aware of their family connections but they do not recognize him. They believe he died in the War.
