Genealogical Folio, the Arnold-Obrist
Johannes Arnold-Obrist was from Aarau, Aargau Canton, Switzerland. In 1546 he became a citizen of Solothurn. He died in 1562. His descendant, Theodore Leonard Erwin Arnold-Obrist (1848-1937), was born in Solothurn, Switzerland and immigrated to Dallas, Texas in 1891. His descendants live primarily in Texas. After arriving in America, the surname was shortened to "Arnold.".
