Georgian Edinburgh
Thomas H. Shepherd was one of the most prolific architectural and topographical illustrators of the early 19th Century. His original paintings formed the basis of many steel engravings that would show how cities would develop from the late Georgian period. This volume is dedicated to work drawn from his sketching tour of Edinburgh in the late 1820's as that city was beginning to develop a colossal new town that remains visible to this day.
