Work Programme
The Work Programme will be implemented nationwide from June 2011, and will replace the range of existing programmes to help benefit claimants find jobs. It will be delivered on a regional basis by a framework of prime contractors, the majority of which will come from the private sector. These prime contractors will be paid by the Government based on their results in achieving sustainable employment for jobseekers. ADHD is characterised by learning and behavioural problems including short attention span, impulsivity, hyperactivity and impairments in perceptual, language and motor skills. Between 4-10 per cent of school-age children are believed to have it with boys outnumbering girls 2-3 to one. An adult form is also now recognised.
