I felt compelled to write this book because the conditions that our sportspeople endure defy not just the laws of sportsmanship, but the fundamental principles of human rights This book is my way of exposing these violations. The right to dignity, to fair treatment, to a life free from exploitation—these are rights that our athletes are denied .
