Complication and Failure in Implantology

The goal of modern dentistry is to restore the patient function, comfort, esthetics speech & health, which can be done by removing caries from a tooth and restoring it, or by replacing missing teeth. What makes implant dentistry unique is the ability to achieve this goal, regardless of atrophy, disease, or any injury of the stomatognathic system. As a result of latest researches, diagnostic tools, treatment planning, implant designs, materials and techniques, predictable success is now a reality for the rehabilitation of many challenging clinical situations. Dental implants are the treatment of choice for the replacement of missing teeth nowadays. However, placement of the implant in alveolar bone remains a challenge for most of the clinicians due to the resorption of the residual alveolar ridge, resulting in insufficient bone volume in one or more dimensions. The purpose of this book is to discuss and elaborate the review various complications and failures in implantology before and after the placement of a dental implant.

Deep Learning for Targeted Treatments

DEEP LEARNING FOR TREATMENTS The book provides the direction for future research in deep learning in terms of its role in targeted treatment, biological systems, site-specific drug delivery, risk assessment in therapy, etc. Deep Learning for Targeted Treatments describes the importance of the deep learning framework for patient care, disease imaging/detection, and health management. Since deep learning can and does play a major role in a patient’s healthcare management by controlling drug delivery to targeted tissues or organs, the main focus of the book is to leverage the various prospects of the DL framework for targeted therapy of various diseases. In terms of its industrial significance, this general-purpose automatic learning procedure is being widely implemented in pharmaceutical healthcare. Audience The book will be immensely interesting and useful to researchers and those working in the areas of clinical research, disease management, pharmaceuticals, R&D formulation, deep learning analytics, remote healthcare management, healthcare analytics, and deep learning in the healthcare industry.

Brassica Improvement

Global population is mounting at an alarming stride to surpass 9.3 billion by 2050, whereas simultaneously the agricultural productivity is gravely affected by climate changes resulting in increased biotic and abiotic stresses. The genus Brassica belongs to the mustard family whose members are known as cruciferous vegetables, cabbages or mustard plants. Rapeseed-mustard is world’s third most important source of edible oil after soybean and oil palm. It has worldwide acceptance owing to its rare combination of health promoting factors. It has very low levels of saturated fatty acids which make it the healthiest edible oil that is commonly available. Apart from this, it is rich in antioxidan...

Trends and Perspectives for the Use of Crop Wild Relatives in Crop Breeding

Crop Wild Relatives (CWRs) are a key asset for agrobiodiversity, sustainable agriculture and food security overall. CRWs might contain genes for useful traits such as nutritional quality, resistance to pests and diseases, resource efficiency, and adaptability to extreme weather conditions. Their inherent genetic diversity together with the associated diversity of microbiota is a vast resource for developing more productive, nutritious, and resilient crop varieties and for diversifying farming systems. Despite their value, a wide range of CWRs are threatened and face pressures, e.g., from intensive agriculture, urbanization, pollution, and the effects of climate change. At the same time, their conservation and deployment in breeding remain still scarce. As a consequence, knowledge is lacking about the diversity that exists and precisely how that diversity may be used for crop improvement and in farming.
