The book explains the cordless mobile systems and mobile computing and elaborates the satellite techniques essential for global mobile communication and co-channel interference to manage frequency reuse hazards. It deals with important design parameters of mobile communication system and discusses the various security measures adopted to prevent the irregularities in wireless networking. Wideband code division multi-access (WCDMA), Bluetooth technology, and the intelligent mobile communication system that provides better service quality are also described. Finally, the book discusses the fourth generation mobile communication system to provide user-controlled services, internetworking and reconfigurable technology. The book includes a large number of solved problems to give a thorough grounding in the concepts. It also provides chapter-end exercises to test students understanding of the subject. The text is designed for undergraduate students of electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering, computer science and engineering, and information technology (IT).
"Akashvani" (English) is a programme journal of ALL INDIA RADIO, it was formerly known as The Indian Listener. It used to serve the listener as a bradshaw of broadcasting ,and give listener the useful information in an interesting manner about programmes, who writes them, take part in them and produce them along with photographs of performing artists. It also contains the information of major changes in the policy and service of the organisation. The Indian Listener (fortnightly programme journal of AIR in English) published by The Indian State Broadcasting Service, Bombay, started on 22 December, 1935 and was the successor to the Indian Radio Times in English, which was published beginning ...
This edition features a wealth of new material on urban warfare, including a computer simulation of EW architecture alternatives for land-based forces based on urban constraints. It also includes an expanded section on time-hopped spread spectrum communications, more details on modern communication system technologies such as CDMA and OFDM, and an in-depth discussion on sources of urban noise. This practical resource is focused on showing the reader how to design and build jammers specifically targeted at spread spectrum, anti-jam communications. Moreover, it gives assistance in evaluating the expected performance of jamming systems against modern communications systems, and discover the best waveform to use to counter communication systems designed to be effective in jamming environments. While mathematical derivations in general are avoided, the book presents error rate performance equations for most modern digital anti-jam communication systems
Four modified versions of particle swarm optimizer (PSO) have been applied to the economic power dispatch with valve-point effects. In order to obtain the optimal solution, traditional PSO search a new position around the current position. The proposed strategies which explore the vicinity of particle's best position found so as far leads to a better result. In addition, to deal with the equality constraint of the economic dispatch problems, a simple mechanism is also devised that the difference of the demanded load and total generating power is evenly shared among units except the one reaching its generating limit. To show their capability, the proposed algorithms are applied to thirteen.Comparision among particle swarm optimization is given. The results show that the proposed algorithms indeed produce more optimal solutions in both cases. The different PSO techniques are New PSO, Self-Adaptive PSO and Chaotic PSO Among the different PSO techniques, it is found that Self-Adaptive PSO is better than other PSO techniques in terms of better solutions, speed of convergence, time of execution and robustness but it has more premature convergence.
