The history of Rancho San Justo and Hollister began in 1839 when Gov. Juan Alvarado gave the land grant to Jose Castro. Castro sold the land to Francisco Pacheco, who, in turn, sold the land grant to William Hollister and his partners Llwellyn Bixby and Thomas and Benjamin Flint. In 1861, the men agreed to split the property. The site for the town was surveyed in 1868 with plans to divide the site into 50 homestead lots. Colonel Hollister sold his portion of the rancho to a group of men who called themselves the San Justo Homestead Association. At that time, the town of Hollister was still in Monterey County; however, the homestead association started agitating for a division of the county. An act to create the county of San Benito was approved by the governor on February 12, 1874, and Hollister became the county seat.

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the recently concluded conference, held on May 2–3, 2023, in the beautiful Kingdom of Bahrain. This pivotal conference was focused on “Sustainable Innovations in Management in the Digital Transformation Era”. In an age defined by rapid technological advancements and digital innovation, the way we understand and carry out management is continually evolving. The conference brought together thought leaders, industry professionals, academ□ics, and innovators from around the globe to share insights, exchange ideas, and cata□lyze change. The digital transformation era has not only revolutionized our personal lives but has significantly impacted the business landscape. It became a strategic prior□ity, driving companies to reassess their business models, reinvent their strategies, and redefine their value propositions. Amidst this change, ensuring sustainability, building resilient, adaptable, and future-proof businesses became a central theme.
For people with various forms of physical disability, extreme slowness of communication is commonplace. In the first part of this book a functional architecture for communication aids is discussed and the idea of automatically supplying the intrinsic redundancy contained in natural communication is explained. The distinctions between adaptive and non-adaptive models of communication are shown and details are given of working predictive text generation systems. One such system is the Reactive Keyboard, and in the second part of the book this ...
In recent years, the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in smart healthcare has been increasing. We are approaching a world where connected smart devices tell people when they need to visit a doctor because these devices will be able to detect health problems and discover symptoms of illness that may need medical care. AI-collaborative IoT technologies can help medical professionals with decision-making. These technologies can also help develop a sustainable and smart healthcare system. AI and IoT Technology and Applications for Smart Healthcare Systems helps readers understand complex scientific topics in a simple and accessible way. It int...
