Politik und Wirtschaft unterrichten
Vor dem Hintergrund zunehmender Komplexität wirtschaftlicher Zusammenhänge, wachsender Internationalisierung und Globalisierung wird eine solide ökonomische Grundbildung aller Schülerinnen und Schüler immer wichtiger. Da in den meisten Bundesländern kein zusätzliches Fach Wirtschaft eingeführt wurde, sind bisherige Stundenanteile des Faches Politik nunmehr für den Unterrichtsanteil des Faches Wirtschaft vorzusehen. Dieses neu entstehende, multidisziplinäre Fach mit seinen Chancen und Risiken war Gegenstand der Diskussionen des 10. Werkstattgespräches zur Theorie und Praxis der politischen Bildung. Aus der Sicht der Bezugsdisziplinen Politikwissenschaft und Ökonomie, wie auch der jeweiligen Fachdidaktiken und der Unterrichtspraxis werden Möglichkeiten und Grenzen dieser Veränderungen und neuen Inhalte der politischen Bildung vorgestellt.

Als Rudolf Hilferding im Jahr 1910 vom "Finanzkapital" sprach, hatte er eine ausgeprägte Machtkonzentration von Bank- und Industriekapital unter Führung des Finanzkapitals vor Augen.
