This book constitutes the post-proceedings of the 6th International ICST Conference on Mobile Networks and Management, MONAMI 2014, held in Würzburg, Germany, in September 2014. The 22 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 30 submissions. In addition, MONAMI 2014 hosted a workshop on enhanced living environments which also featured 10 papers. Measurement, Modelling and Evaluation of Computing Systems
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 19th International GI/ITG Conference on Measurement, Modelling and Evaluation of Computing Systems, MMB 2018, held in Erlangen, Germany, in February 2018. The 16 full papers, 4 PhD track papers, and 9 tool papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 42 submissions. They are dealing with performance and dependability evaluation techniques for computer and communication systems and its related fields.
Advances in Communication Networking
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 19th EUNICE/IFIP WG 6.2, 6.6 workshop on Advances in Communication Networking, EUNICE 2013, held in Chemnitz, Germany, in August 2013. The 23 oral papers demonstrated together with 9 poster presentations were carefully reviewed and selected from 40 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on network modeling and design, traffic analysis, network and traffic management, services over mobile networks, monitoring and measurement, security concepts, application of ICT in smart grid and smart home environments, data dissemination in ad-hoc and sensor networks, and services and applications.
Mobile Networks and Management
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the fourth International Conference on Mobile Networks and Management, MONAMI 2012, held in Hamburg, Germany, in September 2012. The 15 revised full papers presented were carefully selected and reviewed from numerous submissions. In addition two well-received workshops are presented: the second MONAMI Workshop on Smart Objects and the first Open Connectivity Services Workshop, organized in cooperation with the EU FP7 SAIL project. All in all, 25 papers were orally presented at the conference. The papers are organized in five topical sections: mobile networks, heterogeneous networks, wireless communications, smart objects and IoT applications, and future networks.
NETWORKING 2012
The two-volume set LNCS 7289 and 7290 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 11th International IFIP TC 6 Networking Conference held in Prague, Czech Republic, in May 2012. The 64 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 225 submissions. The papers feature innovative research in the areas of network architecture, applications and services, next generation Internet, wireless and sensor networks, and network science. The first volume includes 32 papers and is organized in topical sections on content-centric networking, social networks, reliability and resilience, virtualization and cloud services, IP routing, network measurement, network mapping, and LISP and multi-domain routing.
The Future Internet
Irrespective of whether we use economic or societal metrics, the Internet is one of the most important technical infrastructures in existence today. It will be a catalyst for much of our innovation and prosperity in the future. A competitive Europe will require Internet connectivity and services beyond the capabilities offered by current technologies. Future Internet research is therefore a must. This book is published in full compliance with the Open Access publishing initiative; it is based on the research carried out within the Future Internet Assembly (FIA). It contains a sample of representative results from the recent FIA meetings spanning a broad range of topics, all being of crucial importance for the future Internet. The book includes 32 contributions and has been structured into the following sections, each of which is preceded by a short introduction: Foundations: architectural issues; socio-economic issues; security and trust; and experiments and experimental design. This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the International Conference on Nature of Computation and Communication, ICTCC 2014, held in November 2014 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The 34 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from over 100 submissions. The papers cover formal methods for self-adaptive systems and discuss natural approaches and techniques for computation and communication.

The two-volume set LNCS 6640 and 6641 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 10th International IFIP TC 6 Networking Conference held in Valencia, Spain, in May 2011. The 64 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 294 submissions. The papers feature innovative research in the areas of applications and services, next generation Internet, wireless and sensor networks, and network science. The first volume includes 36 papers and is organized in topical sections on anomaly detection, content management, DTN and sensor networks, energy efficiency, mobility modeling, network science, network topology configuration, next generation Internet, and path diversity.
NETWORKING 2009
“What a di?erence a year makes – 52 little weeks” This variation of the ?rst line from Dinah Washington’s famous song, which originally reads, “What a di?erence a day makes - 24 little hours,” brings it to the point: Accordingtoallexperts,thepress,andmostpeople’simpressionwearetoday in a serious economic recession. Less than one year ago, we practically lived on the “island of the blessed” (namely, at Networking 2008 that was held on the island of Singapore), or in the famous country where “milk and honey ?ow” (or “where wine and liquor ?ow”). This convenient situation has changed abruptly within less than 52 weeks. It looks like the same kind of problems has emerged in all areas – and the “Networking” area has, of course, been a?ected, too. Looking into the 2009 proceedings, however, you will immediately notice that the manuscripts are largely una?ected by any aspect of the economic c- sis (which should be a bit of a consolation). Apparently, research directions are dictated by a process that is all too sluggish in order to be quickly and radically changed by a “tsunami.” Likewise, the conference itself was prepared in spite of such a crisis.
Testbeds and Research Infrastructure: Development of Networks and Communities
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 8th International ICST Conference, TridentCom 2012, held in Thessanoliki, Greece, in June 2012. Out of numerous submissions the Program Committee finally selected 51 full papers. These papers cover topics such as future Internet testbeds, wireless testbeds, federated and large scale testbeds, network and resource virtualization, overlay network testbeds, management provisioning and tools for networking research, and experimentally driven research and user experience evaluation.
