Andreas Friedel lokalisiert die Ursachen der Funktionsschwächen des mit der Kontrolle der Nachrichtendienste des Bundes (BND, BfV und MAD) beauftragten Parlamentarischen Kontrollgremiums (PKGr) des Deutschen Bundestages. Hierfür evaluiert er systematisch die strukturellen Rahmenbedingungen und die individuellen Eigenschaften der Abgeordneten im PKGr im Zeitraum von 1999 und 2016.
