This book was written by the author due to her favorite childhood activity was catching fireflies in her front yard with her sisters. The fireflies would fly through the trees and past us in our yard. We couldn't wait to snag one in a jar and examine the bright glowing flickering light. It was as if the fireflies wanted to let us know they were present.
