Daniel N. Okoro is a retired civil engineer and a compelling new author whose personal struggles during the Nigerian-Biafran civil war prompted him to compose this hauntingly candid memoir of life as a child soldier. When Okoro is not writing, he is busy watching or playing soccer. His love for sports is immeasurable. He also enjoys tennis, bike riding, and taking long, solitary walks. He is the proud father of four children whom he loves immensely. Now, as always, he lives by the motto: Do your best and leave the rest to God.

A 40-year-old institution has come of age. There is the need to document the history, processes and outputs of the institution. This work is a short documentary on Archdeacon Dennis Junior Seminary (ADJS) Mbieri. It is a compilation of the history, foundational principles, roll call of students (admitted and graduated) and lessons learned from the school. There are also sections on spirituality, leadership, and entrepreneurship. We added a short biography of the Most Reverend Benjamin Nwankiti (founder of the Seminary) and Archdeacon T J Dennis (after whom the school was named). The contributions of the authors, who made their presentation with a lot of expertise is gratefully acknowledged. ...

Blast from the Past
Whats the fuss about Gobos - a Haven in the Wilderness? It is, in part, the story of a seven year old boy: Gobo Kanyas recollection of his own Nigeria civil war experiences; an odyssey which he paints as a budding writer; he struggles through to tell a story stemming entirely from his richly poignant, insightful and very revealing and awesome introspective perspective. Reminiscent of atypical and a bit of that common but lost childhood experiences, Gobo pens a story of a cherished nostalgia tinged with satire. The story he tells, again, is uncannily contemporary. But then its a blast, and its from the past.
