Vicky Foster is one very capable writer and Bathwater is a very personal story. Using her own real-life experience of what happens when violence spills over into family life, Bathwater is a gripping, ever-twisting, often moving, somewhat shocking and often agonising piece of work. Rather than a cathartic over-share, however, Foster goes way beyond writing what she knows in order to craft something that is simultaneously hard-hitting and poetic. She has written a work of literary beauty, despite the harsh and uncomfortable subject matter, combining prose, poetry and dialogue. This is as bold a line in the sand as a writer can make to announce their arrival. Given her enormous talent and ability to weave a piece of work so well, there'll be plenty more to come from Foster's experience-fuelled imagination as she strides, confidently, into the literary and poetic world.

She walked away from the old Vicky and placed herself into the newness of God's reflection, believing in his power. When there was no hope and she was about to give up, God stepped in and showed her that there was hope and that she could live again by following the word of God. Through him, she learned to be optimistic-God's love would help her to overcome life's tough situations, no matter how bad the problem was! God has called her to write The Reflection of His Glory because of the many abused and battered women in this country in similar situations as her own. It is her hope that she will be able to encourage and uplift victims of abuse so that they know that there is a way out-through God and the healing powers of his Word.

Second Horseman Out of Eden

A circus-performer-turned-PI and his ex-cop brother rescue a girl from a doomsday cult in this novel of “terrific suspense” and “unlimited imagination” (Publishers Weekly). With a genius IQ, a past career as a circus acrobat, and a black belt in karate, criminology professor Dr. Robert Frederickson—better known as “Mongo the Magnificent”—has a decidedly unusual background for a private investigator. He also just so happens to be a dwarf. Mongo and his brother, Garth, have left their day jobs as a professor and a cop, respectively, and formed their own PI firm, Frederickson & Frederickson. It’s a great reason to celebrate this holiday season, but when their annual tradition ...

Unplanned Journey

“I found a lump in my right breast. I assumed it was a cyst, but to be sure the doc wanted me to get checked out. I trotted off for my mammogram and ultrasound like an obedient lamb. When the radiographer said he was going to take a biopsy I chirped ‘What a good idea. As I’m here.’ It was only when a woman took my hand and looked at me with her kindly yet sad face that I thought, ‘SHIT. They think it’s cancer.’ Within fifteen minutes I knew that it was.” Unplanned Journey is a breast cancer diary with candid and beautifully observed photography by award-winning photographer, Bella West. It shows the 18-month period in the life of a middle-aged woman, Tiggy Walker (who happens...
