Selected Papers on Classical Analysis
Six papers that originally appeared in the journal Sugaku in Japanese explore the general area of mathematical analysis as it pertains to free probability, based on operator algebras. They cover the free products of operator algebras and free probability theory, the dynamics of Kleinian groups and the Hausdorff dimension of limit sets, topological methods in the stability analysis of travelling waves, an extension of almost periodic functions and analyticity on flows, Painleve equations in the past century, and the Navier- Stokes equation in various function spaces. Ibsen at the Theatrical Crossroads of Europe
While Ibsen's plays were seldom performed in Romania in the first half of the 20th century, historical sources highlight his strong impact on the national theatre practice. To address this contradiction, Gianina Druta approaches the reception of Ibsen in the Romanian theatre in the period 1894-1947, combining Digital Humanities and theatre historiography. This investigation of the European theatre culture and the way in which the foreign acting and staging traditions influenced the Romanian Ibsenites provides new insights into mechanisms of aesthetic transmission. Thus, this study presents a European theatre landscape whose unpredictability and uniqueness cannot be confined to essentialist interpretations.

Climate of the Romanian Carpathians
This book is a comprehensive climatic monograph, which addresses one of the most complex mountain environments in Europe, the Carpathians Chain, focusing on the branches that lie over Romania. The volume aggregates high quality input data, state-of-the-art techniques, regional analysis and overview perspectives, while addressing the spatial and temporal patterns of the main climatic elements. The study covers the period 1961-2010, for the present climate, while the perspective is extended up to 2050. The main climatic elements (e.g. air temperature, precipitation, wind) are analyzed, but some specific variables like snow depth and snow cover are also examined, both in terms of average behaviour and extreme characteristics. This is the first synthesis addressing the climate of this mountain region, and it provides useful information for scientists, mountain stakeholders, decision-makers and general public.
