Wilfrid Douglas Newton (1884-1951): British journalist, editor, frequent contributor to periodicals. Feature editor with various London newspapers, special correspondent for London Daily Chronicle, New York Times, and other newspapers. Accompanied Prince of Wales on American trip, 1919, as special press representative. Author of many books, in later years Catholic material.
