White Cube Mason's Yard presented 'Open Cube', an international group exhibition organised by Sao Paulo-based curator Adriano Pedrosa. Invited by the gallery to curate an exhibition, Pedrosa launched a process of open submission via Art Agenda in January 2013, under the title 'Call for entries: 'Open Cube' at White Cube Mason's Yard'. The only requirement was that the artist needed to be available for an interview in London with the curator, in March 2013. 'Open Cube' received over 2,900 applicants, of which Pedrosa interviewed 38 and selected a final group of 17 artists."

Partenheimer?s abstract works are characterised by their variable, multidimensional language of forms, lightness of touch, striking use of colour and poetic approach. Partenheimer uses reduction, asymmetry and imperfection in his work to propose alternative modes of perception. These are partly the result of the artist?s engagement with and contribution to a broader theoretical discourse. In his paintings forms circulate around an undefined space ? a 'nothingness' ? and seem to have the potential to dissolve and reform at any moment. This open- ended quality is evident in all the works in this exhibition.00Exhibition: White Cube Gallery Bermondsey, London, UK (28 .04.? 18.06.2017).

White Cube was pleased to present nineteen new paintings by Damien Hirst. The exhibition was staged at White Cube Mason's Yard and White Cube Hoxton Square. At White Cube Hoxton Square, Hirst presented a group of paintings, which included three triptychs from 2007-09, each depicting crows shot in mid-flight against blue skies, with outspread wings and violent splatters of red paint across their bodies. In the four triptychs on show in the lower ground floor at White Cube Mason's Yard, these crows reappear, as omens of bad news. They often share the space with ghost-like figures, skeletal forms and objects, including chairs, lemons, knives, animal skulls, wine glasses or a scorpion.

The global art market has recently been valued at close to $50bn - a rise of over 60% since the global financial crisis. These figures are driven by demand from China and other emerging markets, as well as the growing phenomenon of the artist bypassing dealers as a market force in his/her own right. This new textbook integrates, updates and enhances the popular aspects of two well-regarded texts - Understanding International Arts Markets and The Art Business. Topics covered include: Emerging markets in China, East Asian, South East Asian, Brazilian, Russian, Islamic and Indian art, Art valuation and investment, Museums and the cultural sector. This revitalized new textbook will continue to be essential reading for students on courses such as arts management, arts marketing, arts business, cultural economics, the sociology of arts, and cultural policy.

The white cube, that paragon of minimalist sculpture, has an active life outside the gallery's walls. Come see what life is like for this sensible everyman, as he makes his way in the world after business hours. "Get to know this chill cube" - Seven Days, Burlington, VT
