Betty Sellnies, daughter of Heinrich Sellnies (b. 1901) and Marie Gutke, was born in 1931 in Pasziesen, Memelland (which was located between East Prussia and Lithuania). She immigrated to West Germany in 1944 and to Ontario in 1959. She married Carl Goos in 1963. They had two children.
