Also giving an account of the introduction of Freemasonry into America, its origin and practice among Negroes, the establishment of Subordinate and Grand Lodges, Royal Arch Chapters, Commanderies, the Scottish Rite, Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, and the Ancient Rite of Memphis, with its ninety-seven degrees, to which is appended much general information tending to show the progress of the race in citizenship, business, education, wealth, with the names of prominent Americans who have become famous in the Craft and other walks of life.
