Main description: The volume presents a cultural history of renaissance rhetoric with special emphasis on literary theory with its aspects of imagination (inventio), generictheory (dispositio), style (elocutio), mnemonic architecture (memoria), representation (actio) (with Shakespeare's works as illustrations).
