La influencia de la arquitectura francesa en la ciudad de Buenos Aires ha sido determinante en algunos períodos de su historia, especialmente a principios del siglo XX, cuando se construyeron las grandes residencias en la zona que se extiende desde Retiro hasta Recoleta y que culmina en torno a la plaza Carlos Pellegrini.
