The IFIP series publishes state-of-the-art results in the sciences and technologies of information and communication Proceedings and post-proceedings of referred international conferences in computer science and interdisciplinary fields are featured. These results often precede journal publication and represent the most current research. The principal aim of the IFIP series is to encourage education and the dissemination and exchange of information about all aspects of computing.
This, the 40th issue of Transactions on Large-Scale Data- and Knowledge-Centered Systems, contains five revised selected regular papers. Topics covered include personalized social query expansion approaches, continuous query on social media streams, elastic processing systems, and semantic interoperability for smart grids and NoSQL environments.
This book constitutes the refereed and revised proceedings of the workshops and the doctoral consortium co-located with the 10th International Conference on Perspectives in Business Informatics Research (BIR), held in Riga, Latvia, in October 2011. The four workshops focused on Information Logistics and Knowledge Supply for Viable Enterprises (ILOG 2011), Alignment of Business Processes and Security Modeling (ABPSM 2011), Intelligent Educational Systems and Technology-Enhanced Learning (INTEL-EDU 2011), and User-Oriented Information Integration (UOII 2011). The two best papers from the doctoral consortium are also included.
This two-volume set, LNCS 10987 and 10988, constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the Second International Joint Conference, APWeb-WAIM 2018, held in Macau, China in July 2018. The 40 full papers presented together with 30 short papers, 6 demonstration papers and 3 keynotes were carefully reviewed and selected from 168 submissions. The papers are organized around the following topics: Text Analysis, Social Networks, Recommender Systems, Information Retrieval, Machine Learning, Knowledge Graphs, Database and Web Applications, Data Streams, Data Mining and Application, Query Processing, Big Data and Blockchain.
Gilbert Müller introduces the foundations of Business Process Management as well as Case-based Reasoning and presents a novel approach to assist the complex, time-consuming, and error-prone task of workflow modeling. By means of methods from artificial intelligence, in particular from the field of Case-based Reasoning, he shows how workflows can be automatically constructed according to a query specified by the user. Thus, the modeling process can be supported substantially, which addresses a highly relevant problem in many workflow domains.
This book constitutes the refereed combined proceedings of four international workshops held in conjunction with the joint 9th Asia-Pacific Web Conference, APWeb 2007, and the 8th International Conference on Web-Age Information Management, WAIM 2007, held in Huang Shan, China in June 2007: DBMAN 2007, WebETrends 2007, PAIS 2007, and ASWAN 2007.
The book is the volume of “The Politcal History in Song, Liao, Jin and Xixia Dynasty” among a series of books of “Deep into China Histories”. The earliest known written records of the history of China date from as early as 1250 BC, from the Shang dynasty (c. 1600–1046 BC) and the Bamboo Annals (296 BC) describe a Xia dynasty (c. 2070–1600 BC) before the Shang, but no writing is known from the period The Shang ruled in the Yellow River valley, which is commonly held to be the cradle of Chinese civilization. However, Neolithic civilizations originated at various cultural centers along both the Yellow River and Yangtze River. These Yellow River and Yangtze civilizations arose millen...
