Kearifan lokal, Pancasila, dan filsafat Keindonesiaan merupakan tema-tema yang menjadi kerinduan para penulis buku ini. Kami, para pembelajar yang tergabung dalam Asosiasi Filosof-filosof Katolik Indonesia (AFKI), sungguh mencintai “Keindonesiaan” dan berusaha menemukan pesan-pesan kearifannya untuk revitalisasi makna Pancasila, yang oleh Bung Karno disebut, perekat atau penjaga keutuhan bangsa Indonesia. Buku ini terdiri dari 35 esai filosofis, berasal dari berbagai “Kearifan Lokal” yang membentang luas dan indah di seluruh tanah Indonesia. Esai kedua sampai kedelapan mengurai kearifan lokal “Ketuhanan”; kesembilan – keempat belas, “Kemanusiaan”; kelima belas – kedua puluh satu, “Kebersatuan”; kedua puluh dua – kedua puluh enam, “Musyawarah dan demokrasi”; dan kedua puluh tujuh – ketiga puluh dua, “tata Keadilan”. Adalah harapan kami, semoga esai-esai ini menjadi “butir-butir emas” Filsafat Keindonesiaan.

Discourses of Southeast Asia
Discourses of Southeast Asia presents the latest Southeast Asian research in Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). SFL provides a sophisticated social semiotic architecture for exploring meaning in languages and texts in the context of Southeast Asia. This edited volume examines the ideational, interpersonal and textual metafunctions in the domains of education, media, translation and language typology. It applies SFL in text analysis so as to be relevant to theory, research and professional practice. This book brings together 12 original chapters by both seasoned and emerging scholars. Their chapters study the ‘native’ languages of Southeast Asia: Indonesian, Malay, Tagalog, Thai and Vietnamese, and relatively newer languages in Southeast Asia: English and Mandarin. The chapters analyze a variety of texts, namely advertisements, classroom interactions, corporate reports, dramas, interviews, media reports, narratives, novels, textbooks and video clips. This volume captures the exciting and productive state of the art of SFL in Southeast Asia. It will be of particular interest to scholars trying to understand the application of SFL in this region.
Immigrants to New England, 1700-1775
Listed in Harold Lancour's Bibliography of Ship Passenger Lists, this work consists of an alphabetical list of 2,250 immigrants to New England during the period 1700 to 1775. Entries contain important information such as place of origin and place of settlement, dates of departure and arrival, name of wife, date of marriage, and names of children. The data derives from a variety of printed sources (town records, family compendia, genealogies, local histories, etc.), and in each instance the exact source of information is cited, thus serving as a guide to further research. An eleven-page index contains the names of brides and others mentioned in the entries.This volume is available on our Family Archive CD 7504.
