Masih sedikitnya bacaan Ilmu Bedah Plastik dalam bahasa Indonesia membuat kami memberanikan diri mencoba merangkai beberapa topik terkait dasar-dasar Ilmu Bedah Plastik menjadi buku. Buku ini merupakan kumpulan tulisan dari berbagai pakar sesuai bidangnya. Semoga buku ini dapat bermanfaat bagi semua orang yang berminat mempelajari dan ingin mengetahui lebih lanjut tentang dasar bedah plastik.

Luka bakar adalah suatu jenis trauma yang mengakibatkan kerusakan dan perubahan berbagai sistem tubuh berkaitan dengan kerusakan fungsi kulit dan reaksi inlamasi, sehingga masalah yang dihadapi menjadi sangat kompleks. Kelainan lokal yang timbul tidak hanya terbatas pada hal yang tampak dari luar tetapi juga menyangkut kelainan sistemik yang melibatkan banyak organ yang kadangkala sulit untuk dipantau dan diramalkan. Buku ini membahas berbagai aspek yang terkait dengan trauma luka bakar, yang merupakan kumpulan tulisan dari berbagai pakar sesuai bidangnya. Buku ini disusun berdasarkan buku acuan dalam “Emergency Management of Major Burn” diterapkan di Australia dan Selandia Baru. Diharapkan buku ini dapat digunakan sebagai pedoman tatalaksana penanganan luka bakar berat pada fase awal atau saat di ruang gawat darurat. Buku ini juga dapat dijadikan acuan para mahasiswa kedokteran, dokter umum maupun dokter spesialis yang berminat terhadap kasus luka bakar.
Advanced Machining Processes
Advanced machining processes has significant contributions to the manufacturing industries, especially since many new invented materials have advanced properties, which are difficult to machine using conventional machining processes. Therefore, advanced machining processes take a lead in dealing with these types of material. This book focuses on electrical machining and electrical dressing processes. Chapter 1 explains the electrochemical machining (ECM), includes process parameters that involved in the ECM processes. Chapter 2 deals with another advanced machining process, i.e. electro-discharge machining (EDM). Several process parameters that contribute to the EDM processes are also discussed. Electrical dressing is described in Chapter 3 as a special application of ECM and EDM. Finally, other types of non-conventional machining are explained in Chapter 4. Ernest William Hornung (7 June 1866 – 22 March 1921), known professionally as E. W. Hornung (nickname Willie), was a poet and English author, most famous for writing the A. J. Raffles series of stories about a gentleman thief in late 19th century London.Hornung was born in Middlesbrough, England, the third son and youngest of eight children of John Peter Hornung, who was born in Hungary. Ernest Hornung was educated at Uppingham School during some of the later years of its great headmaster, Edward Thring. Hornung spent most of his life in England and France, but in December 1883 left for Australia, arrived in 1884 and stayed for two years where he worked as a tutor at Mossgiel station in the Riverina. Although his Australian experience was brief, it influenced most of his literary work from A Bride from the Bush published in 1899, to Old Offenders and a few Old Scores, which was published after his death. Nearly two-thirds of his 30 published novels make reference to Australian incidents and experiences.
