Di lingkungan Fakultas Pertanian sendiri dapat dengan mudah dipahami, bahwa pertanian mempunyai arti yang luas, namun bagi masyarakat umum, pengertian pertanian dalam arti luas tersebut tidaklah koheren, tunggal, dan tanpa bias.
