Quarantine Songs
In Anno Diaboli 2020 the world plunged into an immense depression. Pushed into the dark by COVID 19 and the increasingly sinister politics of our social divisions, some of us retreated into the shell of an unimaginable loneliness. Carmen Firan and Adrian Sangeorzan used the tools of poetry against this existential collapse. In these poems written together, or composed in their singular register, they resisted heroically. The Circus in Front of My House
Adrian Sangeorzan wrote a "Holden Caulfield" novel with an extra-political dimension. The beauty and magic of childhood defends itself with all its might from the duplicity and charmless world of adults and over time it creates a real protection for innocence. It is a literary castle built of branches, found pieces and circus ropes, but the reader of these memories will step into the circus world with a new sense of freedom and the feeling that he can (as long as the charm lasts) breathe freely.

Vitaly is a story about reshaping identity, love, and the price of success, set against the backdrop of post-communist Eastern Europe.This page-turning story follows a young Russian-born, Jewish Ukrainian, who emigrates to the United States after the fall of Communism. In New York City, young Vitaly is exposed to a new world of wealth, power, and corruption. As he becomes more aware of his mother's history and family's affairs, he discovers that she is involved in illegal activities connected to the Russian mob. As a teenager, he becomes a drug addict and diamond smuggler, and as a result of a related arrest, is sent to a detox camp in the desert, finally enlisting in the American Marines where he is sent to fight in Iraq. Throughout the novel, Vitaly must navigate the complex web of relationships and power in his life in the New World, while also confronting his own inner demons and feelings of inadequacy.
