Turismo y desarrollo económico
El desarrollo económico puede ser medido por el nivel de vida, calidad de la educación y salud, la distribución de ingreso, y la pobreza, entre otros; y este puede ser condicionado independientemente del crecimiento económico. Por lo tanto, aunque el turismo es considerado como un factor de desarrollo y un instrumento de progreso, que permite mejorar las condiciones macroeconómicas de la población, es necesario analizar las contribuciones de dicha actividad para determinar no solo sus impactos económicos, socio-culturales y ambientales, sino el esclarecimiento contextual de su progreso y el establecimiento de estrategias que permitan promover acciones y políticas para vigorizar el estado actual de la regiones de estudio.
