Four Discoveries of Praise to God

Four Discoveries of Praise to God

This work by Hume is one of his most popular works and covers four areas in which Christians should praise God. 1. The mercy and goodness of God; 2. The justice of God; 3. The power of God; and 4. The providence of God. God is to be praise for who he is, as Hume explains, but also for the extension of his works in all these areas. The Christian must take time to contemplate, pray and praise God for all his works as Jesus told us to even consider God’s greatness in tending to the “lilies of the field” or the “sparrow” which does not fall but by the Father’s sovereign will. Here we find Hume’s Reformed Theology coming out strong and powerful in directing the Christian to consider the Sovereign Lord of the universe, and the power of the Son of God who comes to take away the sins of the world. This is not a scan or facsimile, and has been updated in modern English for easy reading. It also has an active table of contents for electronic versions.
