L’arte in una stanza
Esiste un “luogo dell’arte”, uno spazio cioè che riesce a ispirare in maniera profonda un artista? Il vissuto di ogni individuo è pieno di oggetti che spesso non possiedono valore intrinseco, ma che possono assumere un notevole valore emotivo, rappresentando una vera e propria mappa visiva come riflesso dell’evoluzione personale. Partendo da questi interrogativi, Ana Maria Silvia Brechler esplora due temi spesso sottovalutati ma di grande importanza: da un lato, collezionismo e accumulazione, con i disturbi che ne derivano; dall’altro, il fenomeno recente dell’Hikikomori, temine che si usa per indicare quei giovani che decidono di allontanarsi per lunghi periodi dalla vita sociale senza avere alcun contatto con il mondo esterno.

“Lei” è una raccolta di poesie che mira a esplorare, con tocco leggero ed ermetico, il mondo delle percezioni interiori, delle vibrazioni più potenti e profonde che governano il nostro essere. Il dialogo col proprio Io, alla ricerca di parole che riescano a definirne i contorni, è al centro di questo viaggio intrapreso da “Lei”; “Lei” la poetessa ma soprattutto “Lei” l’anima, perno attorno al quale ruota la voce di una creatura umana, ancor prima che di una donna. La magia della memoria, lo scorrere inesorabile del tempo, il mistero della Vita... temi universali, sempre attuali, che toccano la nostra natura più intima. Il rapporto con la Parola, nemica-amica, che come un’amante volubile va e viene, trascinando con sé ogni sentimento, è l’altro tema fondante di queste ventuno poesie, alle quali si è voluto affiancare un estratto dalla precedente raccolta dell’autrice, “Essenza”, che già conteneva i germi delle inquietudini e delle immagini maturate in “Lei”.

This analysis is directed at the farm equipment mechanic who is capable of setting up, performing pre-delivery work, servicing, and repairing modern farm tractors, machinery, and attachments used in farm enterprises. Fiscal Discipline and Exchange Rates
We look at the effect of exchange rate regimes on fiscal discipline, taking into account the effect of underlying political conditions. We present a model where strong politics (defined as policymakers facing longer political horizon and higher cohesion) are associated with better fiscal performance, but fixed exchange rates may revert this result and lead to less fiscal discipline. We confirm these hypotheses through regression analysis performed on a panel sample covering 79 countries from 1975 to 2012. Our empirical results also show that the positive effect of strong politics on fiscal discipline is not enough to counter the negative impact of being at/moving to fixed exchange rates. Finally, we use the synthetic control method to illustrate how the transition from flexible to fully fixed exchange rate under the Euro impacted negatively fiscal discipline in European countries. Our results are robust to a number of important sensitivity checks, including different estimators, alternative proxies for fiscal discipline, and sub-sample analysis.
