Methodology for the Observation of Hidden Behaviours in Addiction

Concerning the use of substances, such as alcohol and other drugs, which are prohibited, condemned, or censored by various instruments of control (legal, medical, moral…), these behaviours tend to be kept secret from significant others. The book discusses these conditions and the ways, and their limits, to ensure the validity and the reliability of the data collected and to analyse and interpret them. It serves as an instrument of reflection for researchers and a source of support for decision makers faced with researching and intervening in harmful drug use.
