Enlightened Preaching
Balthasar Münter (1735-1793) is known primarily for being the spiritual advisor for Johann Friedrich Struensee in 1772. Münter is, however, generally interesting as a contributor to the theological development in Denmark-Norway in the eighteenth century, not least because he left a great number of theological texts to posterity. These texts are written in a public and political environment offering shifting conditions for the church. This present book analyses Münter's texts and sheds light on the extent to which he changes his preaching and teaching in accordance with the varying contextual conditions the church was given this period. The result is a textually oriented research work highlighting important theological texts which have not previously been the subject of scholarly investigation.

Immigrants on Grindr
This book examines the role of hook-up apps in the lives of gay, bi, trans, and queer immigrants and refugees, and how the online culture of these platforms promotes belonging or exclusion. Within the context of the so-called European refugee crisis, this research focuses on the experiences of immigrants from especially Muslim-majority countries to the greater Copenhagen area, a region known for both its progressive ideologies and its anti-immigrant practices. Grindr and similar platforms connect newcomers with not only dates and sex, but also friends, roommates and other logistical contacts. But these socio-sexual platforms also become spaces of racialization and othering. Weaving together analyses of real Grindr profile texts, immigrant narratives, political rhetoric, and popular media, Immigrants on Grindr provides an in-depth look at the complex interplay between online and offline cultures, and between technology and society.

The focus of this book is upon the changing perception of women in African society and their portrayal over different periods in the novels of Chinua Achebe and Ngugi wa Thiong’o; the writers who intriguingly wrote on the constant changing role of African women in Igbo and Gikuyu clans. The book dicusses the image of African women entrapped in double jeopardy in both traditional and modern Africa. There has been a remarkable transformation in the representation of women from the early novels to the later novels of both the writers that has been studied in this book from close quarters. The approach and technique of the novelists in projecting their female characters has also been analyzed. The novels of both the writers marked a sea change in the thinking and perception of Westerners with reference to Africa and its people. Inuit outside the Arctic
This book first and foremost looks into experiences of Greenlanders in Denmark, and in addition offers a Canadian comparative perspective. It presents my representation of Greenlanders in Denmark/Inuit in southern Canada. It is heavily based on interviews with Inuit, but presented in this publication through my eyes. This book uses discussions on Arctic urbanization, migration and perceptions to comprehend experiences of Greenlanders in Denmark and places these experiences into a broader context by referring to experiences in Canada as well.
