Grouped in other parts of the hall were other standards, guidons, and colors, fragrant with memories of battle and heroism--among them being the flag carried by the colorbearer in the War of 1812; the French tricolor, not carried since 1830 during the parade in Philadelphia to celebrate the trium...

A Two-Act Historic Dramedy By Anthony E. GalloCosmos Premiere ProgramProduction HistoryCosmos Club Staged Reading October 13, 2018 Alexander Hamilton revered him. Benjamin Franklin prized this fellow-Philadelphian. None appreciated him more than both President and General George Washington. Thomas Jefferson thought he was a fox. But in 1781 they all agreed that only Robert Morris could become the Superintendent of Finance, and save the nation from financial destruction. And he did. General Washington won the War, but never ceased in his praise of Morris' indispensable financial and economic acumen in confronting Great Britain, the world's greatest economic power. But the mention of his name ...

Geometrical, flight, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and wind-tunnel studies for the F-16XL-1 airplane are summarized over a wide range of test conditions. Details are as follows: (1) For geometry, the upper surface of the airplane and the numerical surface description compare reasonably well. (2) For flight, CFD, and wind-tunnel surface pressures, the comparisons are generally good at low angles of attack at both subsonic and transonic speeds; however, local differences are present. In addition, the shock location at transonic speeds from wind-tunnel presure contours is near the aileron hinge line and generally is in correlative agreement with flight results.

NB THIS IS THE BLACK & WHITE VERSION.The Numerical Universe sets out to show that there exists a primordial, numerical, geometric and musical structure to the Universe. The proposal is simply that there is only order in the universe; that there is no chaos and that we are not all here by virtue of some incredible stroke of luck. The universe is instead shown to be the effect produced by a perfectly balanced, always in equilibrium, numerical order, inherent to the decimal system of numbers 0 to 9.The book starts with a look at the numerical structure and how the decimal system of numbers work in specific pairs and groups, making use of modular arithmetic - the reader won't need any formal mat...
