Robert Mayfield was the first immigrant of the Mayfield family from England to America. He was born ca. 1620 and married Sarah . Their children were William, Jane M., Catherine, Jacob, John, Robert Jr., Isaac, Abraham, Anna, and Peter. The book also covers the descendants of allied lines John Gore born ca. 1610, and Robert McJunkin, born ca. 1700 who married Margaret Caldwell.
