Digital Dreams: Exploring the Computer as an Art Medium
Harry Borgman's professional career has spanned many fields including graphic design, cartooning and illustration. He was art director on the Chevrolet account at Campbell - Ewald advertising agency and the Chariman of the Advertising Department at the Society of Arts and Crafts ( now the College for Creative Studies ). He has written several art technique books for Watson Guptill Publications, Dover Publications recently reprinting his book "Pen and Pencil Drawing Techniques." For many years he worked as a freelance artist in Detroit, New York and Paris, France. As a painter he works in the watercolor and acrylic mediums and is also very active as a sculptor, doing wood carvings as well as wood and metal constructions. Recently he has been experimenting with the computer medium, currently creating photomontages and collages on the computer for a proposed exhibition.

The Steve Keene Art Book
Steve Keene is the most prolific American painter of all time. He has produced more than 300,000 hand-painted works via his studio/chainlink fence cage where he paints more than 50 paintings at a time. The use of medium as a technique, material, and metaphor within contemporary art, architecture, and criticism is addressed in this study that illustrates the relevance of textiles. It reveals how the rise of textiles as a prominent art form since the 1990s has not been subjected to comprehensive historical and theoretical reflection thus far. Attempting to map out some of the several meanings and functions of textiles in contemporary art so as to articulate a “metatextile” theory or a “textile discourse,” the book discusses central aspects of the contemporary medium from identity, myth, and clothing to technology, architecture, ornament, anthropology, phenomenology, and historiography. Wright was, however, most respected in intellectual circles for his writing about art, best known of which is the book Modern Painting: Its Tendency and Meaning.
