Seminar paper from the year 2019 in the subject Engineering - Communication Technology, grade: A, The University of Malaya (Asia Pacific University), language: English, abstract: This paper explores the role of modulation in telecommunications, where audio, video, image, or text information is embedded into carrier signals for efficient transmission. The study delves into three fundamental types of modulation - Amplitude Modulation (AM), Frequency Modulation (FM), and Phase Modulation (PM) - with a specific focus on the intricate details of AM. By employing MATLAB, a powerful language for technical computing, and its companion tool SIMULINK, a simulation and model-based design environment, t...
Bachelor Thesis from the year 2023 in the subject Sport - Sports Equipment and Supplies, grade: B+, , course: Mechatronics, language: English, abstract: In the contemporary realm of adventure sports, the safety of mountaineers takes center stage. This study aims to forge an IoT-based solution capable of real-time monitoring of not only the location but the health of mountaineers, thereby minimizing potential risks and facilitating rapid response in emergencies. The summary offers a detailed overview of the various chapters and sections integral to this pivotal research. The introduction highlights the prominence of mountaineering as a global sport and delineates the challenges and risks asso...
Seminar paper from the year 2023 in the subject Law - IT law, grade: A, Munich University of Policy (cyberjaya), course: MBA, language: English, abstract: This text delves deeply into the realm of cybersecurity, particularly focusing on the handling of sensitive data by large organizations, using Facebook as a case study. The goal is to foster an awareness of the significance of data protection and cybersecurity in today's digitalized world and how companies can enhance their data security strategies. In the first chapter, a comprehensive introduction to the data and cybersecurity sphere is presented, discussing various data types and the importance of data protection and pertinent laws. It ...
Project Report from the year 2019 in the subject Engineering - Civil Engineering, grade: A, University Kebangsaan Malaysia (Asia Pacific University), language: English, abstract: This group assignment focuses on the design of house decks that can withstand heavy rain during spring and autumn, considering various structural criteria. Each group member is tasked with designing at least two beams with different shapes, evaluating their dimensions, and analyzing their structural integrity under distributed and concentrated forces. The design selection process involves calculating bending moments, determining the second moment of inertia, and assessing maximum bending stress on the beams. The fac...
Seminar paper from the year 2022 in the subject Business economics - Operations Research, , language: English, abstract: This report provides a strategic analysis for Walmart Inc by examining internal and external factors that may impact the company's brand and future objectives. The report uses the VRIO, PESTEL, and Porter's 5 force model to evaluate Walmart's strategies. The first chapter focuses on the internal analysis of Walmart, using the VRIO framework to evaluate the company's resources and core competencies. The report provides an overview of Walmart's organizational information, including its size, scope, vision, and mission. Walmart is the largest retailer in the US and one of the...
Seminar paper from the year 2022 in the subject Economics - Job market economics, , language: English, abstract: The unemployment rate is commonly used for understanding conditions in the labor market. The labor market is the term used by economists about the supply of labor and demand for labor. The unemployment rate also provides on how the economy is performing more generally. Unemployment occurs when someone is willing to work but does not have a job. The unemployment rate is the percentage of people in the labor force who are unemployed. To measure the unemployment rate, it requires to identify the labor force. The labor force includes people who are either employed or unemployed. The n...
Project Report in the subject Engineering - Communication Technology, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, language: English, abstract: The main objectives of this lab report is to generate frequency-domain analysis of discrete-time signals and to design appropriate Infinite-Impulse Response (IIR) and Finite-Impulse Response (FIR) filters. Digital filters provide an important role in the world of communication. This lab report will discuss the steps taken to develop and design IIR and FIR filters of two filters types which are the Low-pass and the Band-pass filters. The main objective of this lab report to compare and analyze the IIR and FIR filters. At first, a background about the topic of the report would be made. Then, the theoretical concept of the filters is being discussed. After that, the procedure and the steps taken to design the filters are to be explained. Then, the results would be displayed and analyzed. A discussion about the observations and findings made are to be stated. At last, a conclusion about the achievements made and the major outcomes of the investigation are stated.

Seminar paper from the year 2019 in the subject Engineering - Computer Engineering, grade: A, , language: English, abstract: This project, introduces an automated and efficient solution for car parking management. Utilizing LabVIEW's front panel and block diagram functionalities, the system is specifically designed to automate the entry and exit processes in a car parking facility. The incorporation of an LCD provides real-time information on the total number of parked cars and available parking spaces. The project employs a slide switch to detect vehicle entry and exit, preventing further entries when the parking area reaches full capacity. In such cases, a "NO SPACE FOR PARKING" message is...
Academic Paper from the year 2021 in the subject Engineering - Safety Engineering, , language: English, abstract: In summary, the problem of face detection or recognition is alone not sufficient for the security of the cars, and hence eye detection of the same person is required for the system to be highly secured to give access for the car for owner or driver and deny for the intruder. A Review of journal and conference papers on face detection, recognition, eye detection, driver fatigue detection are done to summarise the techniques or methods employed, along with the outcomes and drawbacks or disadvantages. As an intruder may not manifest all symptoms of fatigue using a single detection system, a hybrid system is required to integrate the result of different systems and detect the intruder or to recognise the owner or driver with higher accuracy. When the result from both systems are positive, the hybrid system will determine that the car owner or driver is true with a high accuracy.
