John Gillett was born 8 October 1797 in Vermont. He married Olive Granger. They had eight children and lived in Cherry Valley, New York. John died in 1860 in Roseboom, New York. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Missouri, Wyoming, Utah and elsewhere.

Abraham Devins and His Descendants in Canada and the United States
Abraham Devins (1747-1816) married Elizabeth Hover about 1767, and about 1793 they immigrated from Ontario County, New York to Toronto, Onta- rio. Descendants and relatives lived in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskat- chewan, Alberta, British Columbia and elsewhere. Many descendants immigrated to Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Florida and elsewhere in the United States. One of appendices contains a listing of thirty sets Devins twins between 1812 and 1987.
