I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to share the lighter side of airport and aviation employees. The vast majority of people I encountered at the airport [from all classes and careers], enjoyed humor. Additionally, I found that the average person can recognize the difference between fact and fiction, truth and lies and more importantly, humor versus sarcasm. Additionally, this book deals with factual actions of former law enforcement officers, average citizens, not-so-average citizens, and the author. Also included are additional factual law enforcementrelated issues, and law enforcementrelated jokes involving cops and citizens. Some citizens may be able to recognize themselves in one of the stories or situations but, in all probability, will not admit it. Some of the officers may also recognize themselves (or be recognized), but they surely will not brag about it or bring it to anyones attention. 2 Years is a graphic novel that satirizes the peace corps experience in a way that peace corps volunteers and others can relate. Follow john, a truce corps volunteer who has been posted in telafi, the poorest territory on mars with about a dozen other volunteers. He will struggle in learning how to speak the local language, eat local food, and taking local transport; until he eventually makes the village he is posted in a second home. Despite all the challenges he will face, the hardest part about the entire experience is leaving after his 2 Year commitment ends. Smith is able to capture the humor, stress, and poignancy of the peace corps experience in a unique and entertaining way that anyone will find enjoyable.
