Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Sample Book Insights: #1 You can’t control everything in life. You can’t control what happens to you. But you can control how you look and feel about yourself. When you look good, you feel good. #2 I love getting a spray tan at the salon every few months. It gives me a nice all-over tan, except for the tricky spots like the armpits and the underboob area. #3 I love, love, love superlong extensions in black and in every color of the rainbow. I’ve been blond a few times. I think every woman should mix it up by going blond at least once in her life, if only with a decent wig. #4 I have a great trick to find shine and sparkle: look at the backs of my hands. I have gorgeous square-shaped gel tips with two dozen individually attached rhinestones. They are long, about two inches.
Everything about Angela “Big Ang” Raiola is larger than life: her lips, her 36JJ breasts, and especially her personality! In a lifestyle guide as genuine and fun as Big Ang herself, the star of VH1’s Mob Wives, called the show’s “den mother” by the New York Times, serves up the hilarious and poignant wisdom she’s learned while running her bar, raising her family, and dating made men. Big Ang has rules to live by for beauty, food, family, friendship, and more. Here she is... ON HER KILLER BOOBS: I was on vacation with my family in the Catskills when out of nowhere, this bat flies right into my chest and then falls splat on the ground. Turned out, he died on impact. ON FAMILY TRADITIONS: Every Sunday, we do a feast for fifteen to twenty-five people. Last week, we went through seventy-five meatballs. Even by my family’s standards, that’s a lot of balls. ON DIETING: Swearing off lasagna to lose weight? You might fit into smaller jeans. But you’re still the same person— except hungrier and bitchier. ON HOBBIES: Would I rather cook for people or have sex? No hard-and-fast rule there. But I will say this: Cooking is always satisfying.

A guide for music: compositions, events, forms, genres, groups, history, industry, instruments, language, live music, musicians, songs, musicology, techniques, terminology , theory, music video. Music is a human activity which involves structured and audible sounds, which is used for artistic or aesthetic, entertainment, or ceremonial purposes. The traditional or classical European aspects of music often listed are those elements given primacy in European-influenced classical music: melody, harmony, rhythm, tone color/timbre, and form. A more comprehensive list is given by stating the aspects of sound: pitch, timbre, loudness, and duration. Common terms used to discuss particular pieces include melody, which is a succession of notes heard as some sort of unit; chord, which is a simultaneity of notes heard as some sort of unit; chord progression, which is a succession of chords (simultaneity succession); harmony, which is the relationship between two or more pitches; counterpoint, which is the simultaneity and organization of different melodies; and rhythm, which is the organization of the durational aspects of music.
Can educated people embrace the concepts of spirituality, mysticism, paranormal phenomena, and even magic in light of the overwhelming and undeniable tenets of modern science? As revealed in this book, the answer is a resounding yes! If you, like many modern people, have yearned to believe in something beyond the mundane day-to-day physicality of life, but have feared that to do so would be tantimont to intellectual suicide, this book will prove that you need not choose between modern certainty and mystical doctrine, for both are completely consistent.
This captivating chronicle delves into the untold story of a tribe of people who have played a significant role in mountain exploration and climbing in the Himalayas. Situated in northern India, Darjeeling was developed as a colonial retreat by the British in the early 1830s and soon became famous for its tea gardens, attracting locals from around the region, Nepal, and Tibet in search of work. When Darjeeling became the jumping-off point for early Himalayan expeditions, workers from the Sherpa and Bhutia communities soon established themselves as the preferred high-altitude porters, bringing fame, entwined with tales of valor, courage, and sacrifice, to the city. These are some of their stories. Over the course of a decade, authors Nandini Purandare and Deepa Balsavar conducted a series of interviews with Sherpas from Darjeeling, as well as their family members, descendants, friends, and contemporary climbers. Headstrap weaves a vivid tapestry of this particular Sherpa community, giving them the recognition in mountaineering literature that they deserve.
