Following on from Ancestral Chains DNA Part I, this work takes the reader a step further along the intrigue of the Family Tree. Viewing Victorian life through the mind-set of great-grandmother, Kate, the stage is set in a posh Georgian terrace in Lewes that serves as the Sussex Probate Office. Money matters are inevitable, but madness and attempted murder play out the scenes of life, as a large family adapt to the sudden incarceration of their father. Clockmakers, the Tolkiens and the creator of Lorna Doone in Teddington, all play their roles in the Battersby family saga. There is mischief and innuendo too, as when the early 19th century grocer from Isleworth is buried with 2 of his 3 wives; the headstone even today forming a paving stone in the church path, regularly walked over by worshippers. A search & locate mission for a great uncle lost in the Battlefield at Passchendaele in 1917 is launched; love was not lost on his finance though because his elder brother took on the cause.

Fight never knew his father, but this doesn't stop him from seeking serious revenge when he hears his estranged dad is dead. Apparently, Fight's pop was bumped off by the city's biggest crime boss. It's a tall order to tackle a guy like that, but if Fight's got nothing else, he's certainly got principle. With a band of low-level criminals, Fight sets out on his mission for revenge. They go on a violent rampage to find the man responsible for Fight's father's death. Unfortunately, these rookies aren't as good as they'd like to think. Their exploits put them in the line of fire of yet another crime boss who they just happen to double cross. Now, Fight's life is a tightrope of lies and deceit. To stay alive--he has to stay one step ahead of both crime bosses--but how long will his luck last? With nothing to live for in a city shot to hell, Fight declares all-out war in the name of a father he never knew. He's not just fighting for principle anymore--he's fighting for his life.

My Personal Story

This book tells the story of Andrew Pearce MEP (Member of the European Parliament), who represented half a million people living in Merseyside and Cheshire at Strasbourg for ten years. It’s a human story, a down to earth account of what the daily job of an MEP is like. When Andrew applied to be a candidate in the first direct elections to the European Parliament in 1979, he could not have foreseen the places he would visit, the people he would meet and the actions he would be part of. Andrew had no knowledge that he’d be arrested ‘at gunpoint’ on a ferry on the Zambezi, bitten by a monkey in Sierra Leone and spend a night in a former Portuguese Army brothel in Angola. He expected to ...
