Grayson's Art Club
During the pandemic, Grayson Perry helped the nation find comfort and company through art during the hit TV series Grayson's Art Club by Swan Films for Channel 4. Each week Grayson hosted the show from his studio with his wife, Philippa (and often their cat, Kevin). Using video chat, Grayson spoke to famous artists and creatives about how they were spending their time and invited them to respond creatively to lockdown. Each week had a different theme - family, nature, food, dreams, work, and travel. Members of the public were also invited to share their own artworks and over 17,000 entries were submitted throughout series two in a vast range of mediums - from paintings and photography, to ceramics and textiles. Collectively, the artworks are powerful and very personal responses to the pandemic and form a lasting artistic record of the unprecedented times the nation experienced together. Bog bodies

The ‘bog bodies’ of north-western Europe have captured the imaginations of poets and archaeologists alike, allowing us to come face-to-face with individuals from the past. Their exceptional preservation permits us to examine minute details of their lives and deaths, making us reflect poignantly on our own mortality. But, as this book argues, the bodies must be resituated within a turbulent world of endemic violence and change. Reinterpreting the latest continental research and new discoveries, and featuring a ground-breaking ‘cold case’ forensic study of Worsley Man, Manchester Museum’s ‘bog head’, it brings the bogs to life through both natural history and folklore, revealing them as places that were rich and fertile yet dangerous. The book also argues that these remains do not just pose practical conservation problems but also philosophical dilemmas, compounded by the critical debate on if – and how – they should be displayed.

The Clown Egg Register
For clown lovers and art lovers alike, the only collection of clown faces painted on eggs anywhere in the world The Clown Egg Register is a unique record of two hundred and fifty clown faces, each one painted on to an egg. The eggs act as copyright for a clown's personal visual identity, preserving the unwritten rule that a clown must never copy the face of another. It is a tradition that began in the United Kingdom in the 1940s at Clowns International, the oldest established club for clowns.
