This volume includes select papers presented during the 4th International and 19th National Conference on Machines and Mechanism (iNaCoMM 2019), held in Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi. It presents research on various aspects of design and analysis of machines and mechanisms by academic and industry researchers.
This book presents the proceedings of 5th International and 20th National Conference on Machines and Mechanisms (iNaCoMM 2021) held at PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur during 9-11 December 2021. The conference was held in collaboration with the Association of Machines and Mechanisms (AMM) India and International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine sciences (IFToMM). Various topics covered in this book include kinematics and dynamics of machines, compliant mechanisms; gear, cams and power transmission systems; mechanisms and machines for rural, agricultural and industrial applications; mechanisms for space applications; mechanisms for energy harvesting; robotics and automation; human-centric robotics; soft robotics; man-machine system, mechatronics and micro–mechanisms; CAD and CAGD; control of machines; vibration of machines & rotor dynamics; acoustic and noise; tribology; condition monitoring and failure analysis; fault diagnosis and health monitoring; biomedical engineering; and composites and advanced materials. Given the contents, the book will be useful for researchers and professionals working in the various domains of mechanical engineering.
The Ascomycetes of Peninsular India is a compilation of descriptions of ascomycetous fungi collected from Peninsular India. The references to such fungi or their original publications are not available to many Indian students. This compilation bridges the gap and provides access to the descriptions. Ascomycetes form one of the large groups among fungi and show wide variations in habit, habitat, morphology, dimensions, lifecycle patterns etc. Where ever known, their anamorphs are mentioned. A total of 1410 species belonging to 403 genera distributed under 114 families are included in the compilation. The arrangement of taxa is according to the classification system in the ninth edition of “...

Viresus of hyphomycetes. Hyphomycetes in soil. Hyphomycetes on dung and excreta of animals. Hyphomycetes in the freshwater habitat. Hyphomycetes in the marine habitat. Hyphomycetes in plant pathogens. Hyphomycetes as pathogens of man and animals. Hyphomycetes and mycotoxicoses. Metabolites of Hyphomycetes. Hyphomycetes in industry. Hyphomycetes in biodeterioration and biodegradation.
The book is comprised of more than a dozen chapters on fungi from different substrates including fossilized leaves. It discusses association of fungi occurring on important plants, some animals, and saprophytic substrates. Besides the taxonomic information, some ecological aspects like distribution and substrate/host preferences are discussed. The book also reviews the myxomycete.
