今（2020）年8月由《光華》、台亞會及政大東南亞研究中心聯合主辦的「從部落走向世界──原民影像、音樂再發現」座談活動，首度前往台東美術館舉辦。現場邀請到研究南島文化的專家學者及藝文人士與會，兩天一夜的文化沙龍，除了有精彩的南島文化論述，原住民音樂人也公開分享他們與東南亞及大洋洲國家的交流經驗。 而《光華》長期關注原住民相關議題，早在1983年6月刊就已刊出〈青山綠水間，歌聲好悠揚——信義鄉〉，記錄了當時信義鄉原住民生活的情景；1993年12月刊更以「回到部落VS.愛在他鄉」為封面故事主題，報導汐止樟樹灣一帶「山光社區」阿美族的生活。原住民的議題，豐富且多元，包含族群起源、歲時祭儀、經濟生產、藝術文化、社會運動等層面，透過報導讓讀者感受到原民文化中繽紛且多彩的一面。本期《光華》封面故事，將試圖探討原住民在音樂、戲劇、工藝、建築的傳統與創新，以及生活智慧的傳承與延續，讓「原」藝之美，拉近人與人、族群與族群之間的距離。
