Die 4. vollständig überarbeitete und umfangreich erweiterte Auflage dieser Datensammlung unterstützt wirkungsvoll die Interpretation von Molekülspektren zur Aufklärung der Struktur organischer Verbindungen. Sie besteht aus Referenzdaten, Spektren und empirischen Korrelationen aus der 13C- und 1H-NMR-, IR-, Massen- und UV/Vis-Spektroskopie. Das Buch dient als Begleittext zu Lehrbüchern, ist aber auch als Referenzbuch für Praktiker und Spezialisten konzipiert. Die strikt analoge Datenanordnung und optische Griffmarken am Seitenrand erleichtern den schnellen Übergang zwischen den spektroskopischen Methoden. Die grundlegende Gestaltung der früheren Auflagen wurde beibehalten, jedoch hat sich der Umfang des Datenmaterials mehr als verdoppelt. Das Kapitel über Massenspektrometrie wurde völlig neu konzipiert und enthält eine einmalige Sammlung von Fragmentierungsregeln.
