This volume is composed of two parts: Mathematical and Numerical Analysis for Strongly Nonlinear Plasma Models and Exact Controllability and Observability for Quasilinear Hyperbolic Systems and Applications. It presents recent progress and results obtained in the domains related to both subjects without attaching much importance to the details of proofs but rather to difficulties encountered, to open problems and possible ways to be exploited. It will be very useful for promoting further study on some important problems in the future.

Une dizaine de valises et des cartons ventrus, s'empilaient pêle-mêle sur le side-car. Les bagages cachaient le conducteur. Au-dessus de ce tas branlant, une énorme cage rouge dansait la gigue à chaque explosion du moteur. Elle tenait par des ficelles, mais plus encore par miracle ! Elle abritait un coq épouvanté qui lançait des cocoricos désespérés. Il se cognait aux barreaux de sa cage, des plumes voletaient autour de lui. Bientôt, l'invisible conducteur coupa le moteur de la moto. Je vis Pépé Révolution pour la première fois ! Je ne suis pas prêt d'oublier cet instant.
