Ogni immagine è corredata da riferimenti (per quanto disponibili ed acclarati) al fotografo , alla casa editrice ed ai luoghi. Tale libro, a differenza di tanti altre raccolte di immagini antiche, che si incentrano si luoghi, è invece un esempio unico di "Memoria delle genti".
