This book presents the findings of research projects from the Transregional Collaborative Research Centre 73. These proceedings are the result of years of research into sheet–bulk metal forming. The book discusses the challenges posed by simulating sheet–bulk metal forming. It takes into account the different phenomena characteristic to both sheet and bulk forming fields, and explores the demands this makes on modelling the processes. It then summarizes the research, and presents from a practitioner's point of view. This means the book is of interest to and helps both academics and industrial engineers within the field of sheet–bulk metal forming.

Using Luther’s sermons in the Church Postil as a primary source, Justin Nickel argues that Martin Luther preached as though Christians have real, if secondary, agency in the lives they lead before God and neighbor. As a result, Nickel presents a Luther substantively concerned with how Christians lead their lives.
This contributed volume collects the scientific results of the DFG Priority Program 1180 Prediction and Manipulation of the Interactions between Structures and Processes. The research program has been conducted during the years 2005 and 2011, whereas the primary goal was the analysis of the interactions between processes and structures in modern production facilities. This book presents the findings of the 20 interdisciplinary subprojects, focusing on different manufacturing processes such as high performance milling, tool grinding or metal forming. It contains experimental investigations as well as mathematical modeling of production processes and machine interactions. New experimental advancements and novel simulation approaches are also included.
The scope of the book is to give an overview of the history of astroparticle physics, starting with the discovery of cosmic rays (Victor Hess, 1912) and its background (X-ray, radioactivity). The book focusses on the ways in which physics changes in the course of this history. The following changes run parallel, overlap, and/or interact: - Discovery of effects like X-rays, radioactivity, cosmic rays, new particles but also progress through non-discoveries (monopoles) etc. - The change of the description of nature in physics, as consequence of new theoretical questions at the beginning of the 20th century, giving rise to quantum physics, relativity, etc. - The change of experimental methods, cooperations, disciplinary divisions. With regard to the latter change, a main topic of the book is to make the specific multi-diciplinary features of astroparticle physics clear.
This work argues that Christian righteousness is bestowed and becomes active primarily in worship, particularly through the congregational use of the means of grace, and that the proper appropriation of this righteousness by a Christian is ethically formative.
